Alberta...Wild Rose Country
While we didn't get a chance to snap any shots of wild roses, here's a few shots from our recent trip to Alberta. Anna, Marisa and I went up to visit my grandma, and have her meet her first ever great grandchild! Here's a few from around the family farm:
My mom was also there and the four of us drove back together, taking a roundabout way through banff... while there wasn't a lot of time for stopping to snap (not to mention the weather generally sucked) here's a few I got:
believe this is Bow Lake, can't remember the name of the glacier
The famous Lake of the Louise variety
And of course I can't not put up a post of Marisa and her first ever Banff experience:

Downtown Flavor + Olympic Fever
While on a stroll through downtown vancouver today, here are a few things that caught my eye:
Its no secret of course that the 2010 olympics are less than a week away... and i saw these signs everywhere today! Better get used to it I guess, there's going to be a lot of them around for the next several weeks
This I caught while peeking through the fence at LiveCity Yaletown. I thought it was rather timely and ironic!
Its neat to see how local businesses are embracing (or not) the olympic spirit. This place had a cool little thing going on outside their door for the dog owners, but not without a little olympiad-reference of course!
My feel-good photo of the day, since Canadians are viewed as so friendly throughout the world, its only fitting that visitors see smiles everywhere! Thankfully the person who tagged this barricade agrees... and why not have a smile on, it was a beautiful day!
And finally... while making our way back to the train, i couldn't resist but to stop and snap off this eye catcher. So simple and yet... impossible to ignore! LOL
